What an enlightening experience! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and informed on the stunning history of Newport and the people who made it the city it is today. She took us from the visitor center all the way through the town down to Ocean Drive past Fort Adams. The views of the bay were astounding. We then continued down Ocean drive past many of the mansions such as Rosecliff and Marble House which were also breathtaking. All in all, we saw approximately 90 points of interest in an hour and fifteen minutes. She stopped for only a few seconds at each point so you have to be quick if you want to take photos. This trolley tour is by far the best way to get an in depth look at the entire city while also learning about its interesting past. I couldn't believe how much history lives in this beautiful town. Put this tour on the top of your list when visiting Newport!

Our group of 5 enjoyed the 3 hour tour which included a tour of the Breakers very much. Russ, our guide, was great! He was informative and gave us much extra insight into the Guilded Age as well as current stories of mansions and other homes. This was also a great way to learn the layout of Newport complete with tips for the cliff walk, shopping and dining.

Carlos, our guide, was excellent! He was interesting and funny. What I particularly appreciated was the inclusion of stories that show the complicated relationships between the gilded age wealthy and regular people. We had done a harbor tour the day before and this tour was a great adjunct to that. The Breakers is great. Definitely have lunch before you go on the 1 pm tour. Or bring lots of snacks. I also appreciated that the bus was easy to get into for my partially disabled mother in law.

The Tour Operator was Exceptional...He was funny and knew the history about Newport current and Glided Era...The stories about the .Rich and Scandalous.. We toured the Breakers and it's surrounding land was beautiful. Also along scenic Ocean Drive along the Atlantic ocean with the fabulous real estate. It's definitely a must whilst visiting Newport Rhode Island..

Fun and relaxing 90 minute bus ride, and a wonderful educational experience that brings the rich heritage of Newport County to life. On our Newport Travel Trolley tour, our bus tour guide gave a brief but highly detailed description of Newport’s founding and its early rise and development as a major trading post in 18th Century America. She also drove buy and highlighted several of Newport’s infamous mansions of the Gilded Age, the Touro Synagogue, America’s oldest Jewish synagogue, and the beautiful church used for the wedding for then Senator JFK and his wife Jackie. She also drove by and noted several of NewPort’s dining options and its impressive state parks such as Fort Adams. Both my wife and I very much enjoyed our tour on the Newport Travel Trolley Tour, and we highly recommend that all tourists take part in this wonderful mobile sightseeing experience!!!

This was our first trip to Newport. Well worth the three-hour tour! It really gives you a great perspective on the "Gilded Age" in Newport- Something you wouldn't get by just driving around on your own. The tour guide gives great stories and backgrounds of what went on back then and today. We even got the inside as to where the best dining is based on what you’re looking for. A+ tour

If you are looking for something fun to do with family or friends, Viking is the way to go! Our guide, Jim, was so welcoming and friendly. We purchased tickets to visit Rose Cliff and upon our arrival, Jim advised that Rose Cliff was closed for the flower show and recommended Marble House. Worth every penny! He truly loves Newport and it’s history, that was a definite. He stopped the trolley and allowed us all to get off an take pictures as well. Highly recommend!

The Best of Newport was an excellent overview of Newport including a stop and audio tour of Breakers. The driver was punctual, safe and professional. Overall, it was just the right amount of time. Note that there is no bathroom on the trolley, so be sure to take advantage of the restroom before you depart and again at the Breakers cafe area.

Our experience with Newport Travel Trolley Tours was fantastic! Russ was funny and entertaining. But more importantly, he was exceptionally knowledgeable. We learned so much, and I was amazed at the wealth of information Russ had to share.

Excellent tour. And this company made me feel very safe with the social distancing and the pre-screen at the bus stop. I highly recommend.
